About Tony
Tony Hernandez grew up in a small and vibrant town on the south coast of Spain. He was raised in a family of commercial fishermen where he gained experience from the more seasoned sailors. At the age of 19, he entered the Navy, where he further developed his seamanship knowledge. Tony began to navigate on commercial and private boats, which gave him the opportunity to travel all over Europe, Africa, the Atlantic, the Caribbean, South America, and North America.
Subsequently, he went back to Cadiz, Spain to earn his Master’s in Maritime Transportation. After graduating, Tony worked in Marina Marbella as a Captain and began assisting their brokers with new Italian boat sales.
Tony made the decision to come back to the United States to get his US Coastguard license and work as a boat captain. He worked as a Captain for many years, until deciding to open his yacht management and project management business. After having a long-standing relationship with Bradford Marine as a client, Tony became a yacht broker, and incorporated yacht brokerage into his existing business.
Currently he enjoys advising and assisting clients with the purchase and sale of their boats, building long-term relationships by providing exceptional service. Tony not only works with clients in the United States, but also works on central listings with clients in Europe, the Caribbean, Bahamas, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, Venezuela, Peru, Chile, Panama, Costa Rica and Central America.
