Made for the discerning owner, the Beneteau Oceanis 523 incorporates luxury, comfort, and safety in a world-renown design.

This particular model is an owner’s version, with all interior spaces being generously sized including a master suite with island bed and drop down seats and storage to either side. An equally impressive guest cabin also has plenty of storage with double bed. The perks of having a two-cabin with forward locker layout can be seen in an enormous saloon with double settee forward and well organized galley aft with great bench space, shelving and huge storage locker.

Originally designed as a crew quarters or a kids sleep out, the forward locker can also be used as a sail locker, work shop or just for extra storage. Eye level windows around the cabin top and large sky lights mean the interior areas bathe in natural light and create a welcoming airy space to enjoy.

Upstairs offers a spacious cockpit with dual helm stations in molded-in steering pods, allowing the helmsman comfort while having access to all controls. Squabs are in great condition and offer that extra level of comfort while lounging about on deck.

Another feature of this vessel is its dodger and bimini which connect to shelter the entire back of the boat for great shade while at anchor. It’s easily unzipped and folded away for visibility under sail. Also available is an extra large two-piece tent which shades from bow to bimini, as well as side and aft curtains for rain and wind protection as well as privacy.

Longer voyages are a pleasure thanks to 765 watts of solar electrical, a 250 Amp DC alternator, and 40 gph water maker which is powered by a 6kw diesel motor.

Fully equipped for offshore sailing and well proven in many ocean passages covered by her original owners, this is a vessel with unbeatable space, simple systems for easy short-handed sailing and offers a great opportunity to live or holiday aboard.

Brand History

The Beneteau adventure began more than a century ago on the quays of Croix-de-Vie in Vendée. For 120 years, the core of the boatyard’s profession has been innovation and a passion for yachting. From the first sardine boat to the latest Monte Carlo, from the shipbuilding tradition to more advanced technologies, their expertise has grown. However, it is still the pioneering spirit of Benjamin Bénéteau that is the driving force behind our 2,500 co-workers.

Today, more than 42,000 Beneteau yachts have sailed the seas of the world. At their helm, keen owners, with whom we share the same values of performance, modernity, safety and respect. As demand grew internationally, Beneteau opened a state-of-the-art production facility in Marion, South Carolina in 1986. Within four years, Beneteau became one of the top three sailboat manufacturers in America. An innovative line of luxury Beneteau powerboats, cruisers and trawlers soon followed.
