Custom 81' Barsanti shipyard - Gentleman's Motor Yacht
TILIKUM DELTA is a 24.70m classic wooden motor yacht built in 1963 by the Barsanti shipyard in Viareggio, Italy, to her first owner's own plans. Inspired by the Mediterranean deep-sea fishing schooners, she combines a clipper bow, a rounded stern and two Oregon pine masts with mahogany planking on oak frames and a Java teak deck. Originally operated by a Belgian owner, then kept for many years by a Spanish family, she has been with her current owner for more than a decade.
Her twin 240 HP Mercedes engines were completely rebuilt in situ in 2017, and between 2022 and 2024 her hull was fully re-caulked the traditional way above and below the waterline with new hemp oakum, leaving a dry hull with no seepage. She cruises at 7.5 knots with a range of 1,600 NM.
On the main deck, the varnished wood wheelhouse retains its original engine controls and a watch berth, while the aft saloon keeps its original teak floor and chestnut deckhead. A large sheltered cockpit leads to the flybridge. Below deck, four cabins accommodate up to eight guests, including a forward master suite with bathtub, and the crew enjoy two cabins in the forepeak for up to four, with their own access from the foredeck. An Astec 380 RIB, two kayaks and diving equipment with a Bauer compressor complete her inventory.
