2016/2017 Refit
Barefeet underwent an extensive refit in 2016 and 2017, costing more than $600,000.

- 8v92TT Johnson & Towers engines (completely rebuilt)
- (Note: starboard engine was rebuilt again at 96 hrs.)
- Four turbochargers rebuilt
- New alternators
- New coolant and raw water pumps
- New fuel handling system and fuel control panel
- Groco oil change system for engines, transmissions, generator
- New Alfa-Laval fuel polishing system
- New Maretron fuel/water tank sending units
Electrical
- New bow-to-stern bonding system
