Backing up that equipment list, the Volvo D13 IPS offers effortless docking with Volvo's fully integrated joystick, which includes bow thruster integration, DPS, and Assisted Docking System. There are 2 aft joysticks, at both port and starboard stations, for complete control, making this 72-foot motor yacht comfortable in tight quarters.
Riviera Yachts is known for being a blue water and offshore capable cruising line, and beyond the hull design, this 6800 is further enhanced with Humphree fin stabilizers and Humphree interceptor auto trim tabs, which keep her balanced while underway, reduce roll, and allow for zero-speed stabilization at rest.
Aft, the 6800 has a tiered hydraulic swim platform that creates no drag when underway, sits elevated for higher docks and easier boarding, and forms safer, stepped access into the water for all ages. The 2 removable stainless side rails are great for boarding and enjoying the water and can be used for fishing with the included removable cutting board. The tender is deployed using the hydraulic rail system, then lowered with the assistance of the hydraulic swim platform. The garage hatch has a built-in rain shower, a port-side freshwater rinse, and an integrated air station for the tender or inflatables, and there's dedicated port-side walk-in engine room access.
Stepping up into the cockpit from either port or starboard, the 6800 features a massive hardtop, 2 electric grills with integrated exhaust in the solid Corian countertop, 2 pull-out fridges, a fold-down TV, an aft sunroof, and a motorized aft sun or privacy blind. Flip-up port and starboard joystick controls sit adjacent to the port and starboard boarding doors. DON'T BACK OFF includes a removable 2-step boarding platform for higher docks and safer boarding through the side doors.
Moving forward, the port and starboard side decks are equally wide and allow for easy passage to the bow, with tall gunnels and a high stainless rail that make it extremely safe for kids or pets. The bow has one step up to a recessed seating space, unique for this size boat, which allows for sitting while underway. Multiple adjustable backrests provide lounging options, 2 tables can be positioned to your liking, and a removable bow sunshade with carbon fiber poles stows in the many large bow compartments. The windlass gear is readily available, and the captain has great sightlines when running the windlass from the helm, further enhanced by a chain counter and anchor camera.
In the salon, the Riviera features an aft galley with ample fridge and freezer space, a wine cooler, and Miele appliances including a 3-burner cooktop, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, plus an instant boiling, soda, and cold-water tap at the faucet. The electric aft window and large door opening allow for pleasant alfresco dining, pass-through service, and ease of entertainment. The salon also has electric blinds and a front windshield cover, along with a generous amount of sofa space and a custom folding table that stows under the sofa or deploys for dining inside. A huge 65-inch TV is concealed on the starboard side on an electric lift, so with Starlink onboard you'll never miss a game or your music.
Just before the helm, a starboard-side mechanical door, built with massive stainless-steel support and a locking mechanism, allows easy access to the side decks. The salon itself has no steps and sits on a single level for added safety, comfort, and ease of movement. In fact, throughout the entire boat you'll notice limited steps and one level across all staterooms, the cockpit, and the salon, with only a few steps up to the bow and side decks.
The helm area of this 6800 is equally spacious, with a large L-shaped lounge to port that comfortably seats more than one person for a relaxing view underway, or a place to put your feet up on long trips. The dual helm chairs are finished in premium leather with armrests, are electrically adjustable for comfort, and include built-in footrests and flip-up bolsters. The helm itself is accented in carbon fiber and equipped with a triple Volvo Glass Cockpit 19-inch Garmin display setup, an additional 7-inch Volvo Garmin display, CZone monitoring, a Garmin GRID remote next to the captain's chair, chain counter, Humphree fin system display, spotlight control, and Garmin Cortex VHF with AIS.
Below decks, DON'T BACK OFF has the volume of a much larger vessel, and her 4-cabin, 3-head layout with a separate crew cabin and head is equally impressive. Pictures or videos simply don't do her justice! The master cabin is larger than what you'd find on most 80 or 90-foot yachts, with a king berth, vast amounts of drawers, cedar-lined hanging lockers, dual vanity sinks, a spacious rainfall shower with glass doors, and a mini wet bar featuring a pull-out fridge and dedicated counter space for your choice of coffee & espresso machine.
From the master, 2 doors separate from the master lead into the crew cabin, which features a full-size washer and dryer, fridge, microwave, wet head, and walk-in access to the engine room.
Forward, a VIP stateroom offers a queen bed and private head. The port and starboard rooms share the day head, which features a glass shower and rainfall faucet, and all staterooms offer ample natural light through portholes. The port-side stateroom can be configured as 2 separate beds or joined electronically into a double, while the starboard stateroom has spacious crossover bunks and a dedicated hanging locker.

Utilizing the finest Construction Methods: State-of-the-art digital kitting is utilized to precisely cut all fiberglass and structural foams for the lamination process to ensure that each component fits perfectly. The finest quality joinery is created by exacting CNC precision-cut timbers with all cabinets hand built by master craftspeople. Each mold is thoroughly inspected, cleaned and waxed before the initial application of isophthalic gelcoat is sprayed to provide a high gloss and superior water and fade resistant finish. Closed molding techniques are utilized to manufacture small parts where these precise components require lighter weight and very high quality finishes. The superior internal varnished finishes are achieved by a robotic varnish machine which has a humidified drying room to cure the painted surface. Up to five coats of varnish are applied. Riviera hulls are hand-laid with multi or quad fiberglass matting over core materials such as foam and sealed with vinyl ester resin, due to its superior ability to withstand water absorption. Hull construction is a very intricate and skilled process and hand-laid fiberglass construction is far superior in strength to any other method. The hull and deck surface finishes have great impact resistance. A finished hull can be almost 20 mm thick – solid fiberglass below the waterline with great strength where it matters most. Major structural components of a Riviera yacht are manufactured from glass reinforced plastic (GRP) to give immense strength and service life to the yacht. To produce a high-strength and watertight connection, the joining of the hull and deck is a three-stage process that involves bonding, bolting and internal fiberglass strapping. All fuel tanks fitted to a Riviera yacht are manufactured from GRP with fire-retardant resin, have structural internal baffles for stability and are fiberglassed in place to create great structural strength. All wiring looms, air-conditioning and water lines are color-coded and tagged for precision and identification. Each yacht spends two days being prepared for sea trials and then 4 to 6 hours being put through its paces with an engineer, electrician and engine manufacturer’s representative onboard. From elegantly understated to magnificently bold, only the finest, hand-selected premium New Zealand leathers are used. Superior-grade timbers have been hand-selected including walnut, cherry, oak, teak and wenge to allow the personalization of your yacht. All exterior stainless steel is crafted from high-quality 316 grade which offers better overall corrosion-resistance properties. Riviera glass windscreens are fabricated in premium-grade curved glass and all windows offer resistance to thermal transfer.
