Overview"Serenity of the Sea" is a steel-hulled sailing yacht built in 1982 by the Dutch shipyard Jongert and designed by naval architect Doug Peterson, with an interior designed by Peter Sijm. Registered under the Spanish flag, she holds an active Spanish charter license. The vessel is located in Alcudiamar (Muelle Tango), Mallorca, with the option to take over her current berth.

Refit & Mechanical Upgrades (2023–2024)

The yacht underwent an extensive refit between 2023 and 2024, including:

• Complete overhaul of the main MAN engine and generator.

• Installation of new batteries and a revised electrical distribution system.

• Replacement of standing rigging, with all sails renewed or professionally serviced.

• Servicing and replacement of deck hardware, including winches, the foredeck capstan, and the windlass.  

• Updated navigation and communication electronics.

• Overhaul and servicing of the air conditioning and reverse-cycle heating systems.

• Refurbished original teak joinery and updated interior upholstery.  

Rigging & Deck Features

• Ketch rig configuration equipped with a Rondal in-mast furling system.  

• Hydraulic furler for the genoa and hydraulic furler for the jib, featuring a self-tacking arrangement.

• Dacron sail wardrobe and mast-stowed spinnaker pole.

• Enclosed center cockpit with fixed windscreen windows, partly sheltered by a fixed hard roof and a Bimini top.

• Forward sunbathing lounge area forward of the wheelhouse.  

• Ground tackle featuring a bow-mounted CQR anchor and dual Dorade deck vents for galley ventilation.

Accommodations & Interior

• Total capacity of 8 + 2 berths finished in classic Jongert teak carpentry.
